How to report an error and how we correct it.

Last updated Oct 11, 2026

Accuracy matters most when people rely on us to claim money they're owed.

How to report an error

  • Use the "Spotted an error or outdated information?" form at the bottom of any guide, company or country page.
  • Or contact us.

If you can, include a link to the official source that shows the correct information.

What happens next

  1. An editor reviews every report against the primary source.
  2. If we got something wrong, we fix it and update the page's review date.
  3. If we change a substantive fact, such as an amount, a deadline or who is covered, we add a note to the page that says what changed.
  4. If a company page may be out of date, we mark it Under review until it has been re-checked.

We don't remove accurate information because a company asks us to.
