Privacy policy
What data RefundFact collects, why, and how you can control it.
Last updated Oct 11, 2026
We collect as little personal data as possible.
Our tools keep your data in your browser
- The flight compensation checker, refund eligibility checker, letter generator, timeline calculator and deadline reminder run entirely in your browser. What you type isn't sent to our servers.
- The refund tracker saves your cases in your browser's local storage on your device. We never receive them. You can export them or delete them at any time with "Delete all my data". Clearing your browser data also deletes them.
- Calendar reminders are files you download. We don't need your email address.
Information we do receive

| Standard server logs | When you visit any page | Security and reliability | Kept by our hosting provider for a limited period |
Cookies and similar technologies
- Essential: your cookie choice, and your light or dark theme, are stored in your browser. Staff who sign in to the admin use a secure session cookie.
- Analytics (optional): if enabled and you accept, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages help people. It doesn't load unless you accept.

You can change your choice at any time using Cookie settings in the footer.
