How the assistant works
Step 1
Tell us what happened
Choose the company and the problem, then answer only the questions that matter for your case.
Step 2
See which rules apply
We check your answers against rules verified from official sources, and explain what each one means.
Step 3
Get an action plan
Deadlines, an evidence checklist, a claim letter, calendar reminders and a private tracker.
Private by design: no account, no uploads, and your answers never leave your device. Read our methodology.
Frequently asked questions
Is the assistant's result a guarantee?
No. It explains how the published rules apply to the facts you give. The company, and ultimately a regulator or court, decides your claim.
Do you store my answers?
Your answers are saved only in your browser so you can come back later. They are never sent to RefundFact. We only count anonymous steps, such as how many people finish, without any answers.
Does EU261 cover lost or delayed baggage?
No. EU261 covers flight delays, cancellations and denied boarding. Baggage claims on international journeys are governed by the Montreal Convention 1999, which sets airline liability and strict complaint deadlines.
Which problems does the assistant cover?
We're starting with airline baggage problems: delayed, lost and damaged bags and missing contents. We'll add more problems as each set of rules is verified.
